Altar

SACERD SPACE THAT HOLDS TOOLS & OFFERINGS

An Altar is a sacred space used by witches. It is an area that holds all your tools, decorations, & offerings. It is used to help you focus & set your intention for rituals, ceremonies & spellcasting.

Your Altar can be either permanent or seasonal. Some witches will dedicate their altar to a deity, others set it up for the upcoming Sabbath or for a specific spell or ritual.

Traditionally an Altar has a basic layout which is depicted bellow.

Hello, I'm Silver! I started this website because I wanted to help beginner witches find their path & to create a resource that might help dispel some of the perceived negativity that surrounds the term witchcraft.

But altars are as varied as the witches who use them. The most powerful altar is one you create yourself. Whether it be a small corner or windowsill with a few crystals or an entire bookshelf full of herbs, books, magical tools & idols, it's your space so make it personal. Here are some beautiful examples from witches in our community.
